Sunday Outing

Sunday, the day I love & hate. Love--it's still a weekend. Hate-- It's begining of another week.

After lunch, which by the way wasnt much different from breakfast coz it was bread & cheese again, we went to Mami's father's house here in Reinach too. It was a big house & Mami had to clear the house A.S.A.P coz they would want to sell the house as no one was staying there anymore. Grandfather was also a doctor, same as Mami.

There was a lot of art in this house. In my opinion, this family travels a lot, reads a lot & has really good taste. Mami chose the art she liked & put them in the car. According to Mami, some of the pictures were very expensive. One of them cost Fr 7500 which was bought by her father 20 years ago. Imagine how much does the art cost now?! My sisters took a lot of books that they needed from the shelves. There were a lot of travel books coz Mami's parents travelled a lot. Laura was glad that she manage to get a few books on Paris, coz she would be going there in April. How cool is that? I'm hoping that I get to travel around not only in Switzerland , but also to other countries around coz it's cheaper compared to traveling straight from Malaysia. Like what Anja said, she went to Europark in Germany & it was really cool & fun. How much did that cost? Fr 50 ! WOW ! See how tempting is that?? =)

We waited for Benny to come & collect the garden chair. It was nice to see the place Mami grew up in & where Benny, Anja & Laura spent their childhood time in.After hanging around for sometime, we proceeded to Lucern to the ' Verkehshaus ' also known as the Transportation museum. We went on this train & it was about the history bout how trains & tunnels started in Switzerland. At 5, we went to the Imex theatre. It was a documentry about tigers. Overall, the trip to the museum was good. Learnt some things bout trains & tunnels & stuff.

Anyway, for dinner, we had rice! Woohoo! 2nd meal of rice here. I had a lot of rice. Something which I would never take alot back home. Right mum & dad?=P

I think I will put on weight over here coz I eat cheese EVERYDAY! It's unevitable ! I've already cut down on chocolate now. This is becoz for the first week of arrival here, I've had a stick of chocolate everyday! These are the sinful food which I never took back home. Not to say never, but rarely took. Not to mention thick chunks of butter on bread coz the butter is so hard to spread! & of course mayonaise. See what I mean? All the sinful food! Luckily I have that 'privillege' of walking home everyday, so I hope that's enough of exercise I need to burn all the calories. Hehe.....

Well, at least I'm not the only one here eating all these sinful food. Some of the students here bring chocolate bars to class everyday for lunch. Anyway, I don't really care much coz it's a one in a life time oppurtunity to try new things here & I only have 1 year to do so. If I do put on weight, who cares?!I can always go on a diet. How often does oppurtunity knocks on my door & give me a chance to experience a real, typical Swiss life?

Conclusion : Be daring to try new things (which btw actually means food) & if worse comes to worse, there's always a place called a gym, isn't ? =)
