Finally....Weekend
Well, my weekend was pretty normal. One of the unusual days staying back at home during my weekends. Friday night's programme was kinda last minute coz my piano teacher gave me the details of the Janos Tamas(some Swiss musician) concert really the last minute. Got home after a 35 minute train ride, told mami bout it and we rushed back to my school for the concert.
The concert was really interesting. Really modern music. The kind where I dont mind hearing in a FREE concert, but wouldn't buy the CD and listen at home. Or maybe my music knowledge is under the limit for me to appreciate real modern and abstract music. From my point of view, the music played sounded as if they were playing 'impromptu'. There was one where there were 3 pianists playing together in 1 piano! The performers were really good musicians. THe music itself was abstract. Maybe some people may beg to differ the word abstract. It's something like Picasso, abstract art where it requires a high knowledge of art to comment on.
Anw, I enjoyed myself( no puns intended) . I enjoy hanging out with mami, doing 'mother-daughter stuff'. Not really mother-daughter, but still it was nice.
Saturday itself was spent cleaning and clearing my room. Damn. I dunno how am I going to bring back all my stuff back to Malaysia. Gonna cost a bomb shipping it back. Went out with mami and Laura to the cinema.
Stolz und Vorurteil. That's the German title for Pride and Prejudice. Yeah, that's the ENGLISH literature Jane Auestin movie I watched --- IN GERMAN! Thanks to my biological dad's advice to read at least some English literature and banning me to read no more of those lovey-dovey love novels like Sweet Valley, etc, I understood the whole story line. Most of the conversations too, despite the whole movie was in German(mind you there was NO English undertitles)
What I didnt understand were the jokes, or maybe the sacarsm in the movie. That is what I hate most. Despite understanding the German language now, sometimes I really find it hard to understand jokes in the German language. People say that the hardest jokes to understand are jokes in a foreign language. Maybe my German level is not THAT good. Or maybe my humour is NOT THAT high. Or maybe both.
Today, went up to Pilatus mountain. The weather was real shitty in normal grounds. Thick fog. Something like haze, the only difference is that fog is unfatal(if u dont consider the cold factor). However, the weather in high grounds, like mountain tops and so, was SUPERB! TOns of sun, bright blue sky, no fog. From the top, we saw the thick fog beneath. It was so beautiful and breathtaking. Thanks to the 'suffering' of the folks in the low lands(coz they hafta bear with the fog), we had a great scenery from above. As a saying goes, one man's garbage is another man's gift...or something like that lah.
Didnt go trekking this time coz LAura absolutely HATES trekking. Therefore, went home earlier than I expected.
TOday's the last day of my weekend. Tomorrow's back to square one. School. Damn. At least I get to skip the morning class due to the fact that I have to reherse with my friends for the school concert. Thank god.
