Kuala Lumpur

The November autumn weather is a perfect example of why the Swiss worship the sun. Apart from the cold and thick fog, I see no reason why autumn is considered the season with terrible weather. The sun doesnt come out till 7.30, it's dark by 5pm...I see no reason...yeah right. Imagine when we go to school, it's dark. By the time we go home, it's dark.

School was as usual. Nothing special. Had to do breath strokes for swimming class. Promised myself to go swimming at least once a week when I go back to Malaysia to loose all the BLOODY weight and fats I accumulated for the past 8 months. It's amazing how a lil bit of joghurt, cheese and chocolate and tons of bread can do wonders to one's weight. It's even more amazing that ONLY the FEMALE exchange students are affected by this kind of diet. The Swiss, I guess are immune to this. The Swiss gals eat like a horse(or least the gals I know) and yet they are stick thin! BLame it on my Asian genes.

Physics. One of my worst subjects. Even in Malaysia I've sucked in physics. Ask everyone who knows me. German is not the reason I dont understand the stuff taught by the physics teacher.

Geography. One of my favourite lessons. Learning about South East Asia now even makes it more interesting for me! YOO! PArtically today. Herr Gloor taped a TV programme on KL and we watched it during our lesson. I was really glad that the programme was really well done and projected a really positive outlook on Malaysia. A total opposite from the misleading book on the Malaysian culture.

Petronas Twin Towers is THE only relationship between Malaysian and Switzerland. It was a good thing our ex-PM made it a point to build the Twin Towers. When people talk about M'sia, it's not KL Tower which come to mind. It's the Twin Towers. Watching together with my class, I suddenly felt so proud and patriotic.

What made it even better was we were actually studying the development of SEA countries. Herr GLoor asked the class to compare the 2 countries. Indonesia and Malaysia. The pictures from Indonesia were a complete opposite from Malaysia. Memang ulu and kampung. Therefore, with the well edited documentary on Malaysia, my homeland was seen to be a metropolitan, modern and developed country.

THanks to the Twin Towers, Malaysia is famous.
