Swiss SPorts

Last weekend was pretty quiet for me. Anna and I went to Zurich after school, where we thought we had enough time to shop. Turned out that we had to rush for the train to make it for dinner. On the way, someone called out my name. It was Julian! Great seeing him again! HOt bro! =P Anna had dinner with us and it was good. Mami's cooking's the best lah....hmm.....

Thanks to Sunway Pyramid's ice skating ring, I at least could ice skate when I went out with friends yesterday for ice skating in Wettingon. The difference was the ice skating ring was not that crowded nor was it in the middle of a shopping complex with spectators looking at you from every single level. It was outdoors, perfect weather for ice skating. By perfect it doesnt mean sun was shining and stuff. It was in fact a little dark, kinda like evening like weather. At least it didnt rain. I'm grateful enough when there's no rain, nor does the termometer score states a negative number.

Today's sports. Fit check. Something like the Malaysian sports check where we have to lie or rather exaggerate our original sum of sit ups we did, or push ups we really did.

Malaysian style.
Sit ups. Actual figure : 30. Recorded figure: 45

Push ups. Acutal fugure : 45. Recorded figure: 70

Swiss style.
Push ups. Actual figure: 50. recorded figure: 50.

Long jump. Actual figure: 180cm. Recorded figure: 180cm

Man, the students here are darn sporty. More all rounders I would say. Malaysian sport subject in my opinion is not taken seriously nor does it really matter to us. Here, it's not the same. It's all in the attitude. In fact in Malaysia, we can actually sit through the whole hour just chit-chatting and the teacher doesnt even bother. Here, we dun have a chance to do that coz sports class is taken so seriously.

Volleyball. the sport I used to suck at. But thanks to some tips from friends, at least I dont feel as if I'm embarrassing myself when I play volleyball. At the beginning , I felt myself as a liability coz I really couldnt hit. the group I belong to will lose. At least they r polite enough to encourage and teach me. That even makes me feel more guilty. But luckily for the time being, I dont suck. I'm not the best, but at least I dont suck in volleyball now.

Swimming. We have to do a 12 minute breath stroke for our 'Fit check' . My eyes nearly popped out looking at the score sheet. I blame the Malaysian education system. why didnt they construct a better education sytem for all of us? To score a 4 (just passed, not fail. a 3.9 is fail), we have to at least swim 400m! And that is 16 laps for us! Damn. For a perfect score? 24 laps, which is more than half a km. It'll be a miracle that I dont drown in the process or die of exaustion. It's not that I cant swim. I can, it's just that for breath stroke, I seem to be doing something wrong. I guess that explains why I feel so lethargic after my 'chong'en's version of breath stroke'. Hey, people, b4 u judge, breath storke is not easy, ok?! Not mention the number of laps is enough to scare one out of their wits.

More than half a km to a perfect score, GILA BABI!
