Christmas 2005

Let me start off with Christmas. Christmas eve was a comfortable celebration with my hostfamily. Benny came with his girlfriend and we had a really warm,typical Christmas. It was really my first Christmas where I got to decorate a REAL Christmas tree! Not to mention the Christmas tree looked so MEGA SCHÖN!!!!! With candles lighted, we sang Christmas songs---in German, of course. Stille Nacht. The German version of Silent night. Thank God I learnt it in Deutsch zusatz.

On Christmas day itself was a family gathering at grandmama's place in Lenzburg. Something like CNY. It was also a very lively gathering...which included some conflict between the adults....which is really not worth mentioning.I guess it's a common thing between families.I was surprised to get a present from grandmama. She's 86, but still mentally clear. She's so cute! She thought that I'm from America, therefore she wrote ' Für die Fraulein von Amerika' (For the lady from America). Got a box of Ferrero Roche from her and additional pocket money. A pretty big one...heheh =P

Christmas was really great! Got tons of gifts. A CD and a Swatch from my hostparents....something typical Swiss,they said, that they wanted me to have =) Of course presents from my hostsiblings....really cool!

On Wednesday, a 1 day trip visit to my week hostfamily in Bülach ended into a 3 days 2 nites stay. I really had a great time there too lah! 1st day, Julian and I went shopping together. 2nd day,Julian and I did the salsa, something I've been longing to learn all these time...I'm lucky to have a hostbro who can really salsa! We danced and danced to the music and it was soooooo much fun!!!!! Paula was there to correct my dance steps. She can also verdammt gut salsa!

At night was a trip to the cinema. Mrs Henderson Presents from Judi Dench. I bet this film is banned in Malaysia coz this film is about nudity and u can see boobs hanging off naked women throughout the whole film. It's more of a typical British sense of humour too. Not all appreciate it. After the show, went to the bar with them and took the last train back.

Man, I really love both my hostfamilies. I'm a really lucky gal.
