Tears Running Down my Face
Countdown is on. Trying my best to coop with the oncoming stress and return jitters. Trying to meet up with friends whom I wont be seeing for a long, long time.
The Evaluation Camp was pretty boring till the end till we started crying. I'm such a sucker for tears. I?m going to be so depressed when I leave. No kidding. If I cant even handle that, how am I going to handle such a farewell when I really leave Switzerland?
Skiing at Flumserberg was great. Unless u are born Swiss, I suggest that anyone who wants to go on Ski holidays take classes b4 they even start going up on lifts or gondolas. without the ski lessons, skiing down the steep slopes are hell. Trust me. Looking at the steep slopes will just freak u out. Not to mention little 2,3 years old kids happily skiing way pass u is enough to dampen your spirit. Thank god for my ski teacher who came looking for us up in the slopes. If he didnt turn up, I would've literrally WALKED down those slopes myself, BY FOOT. I mean it. A one day ski trip is enough to cost u your energy and money. Skiing is freaking expensive! THank god I have a GA. I dont have to pay for the train rides. But the ski rents and ski lifts pass are enough to kill.
It was all worth it to have the ski lessons. It was sooooo much better skiing down those lofty, steep slopes covered with soft, white snow. The adrenalin rush is just great. SKiing requires control. Just like life. If you go too fast, U lose control. If u go to slowly, it's just as exciting as dried peanuts in the dessert. THe weather was also great. SKiing is a strenous sport. I was too tired to take my sister's advice therefore I had muscle aches ALL OVER MY BODY the next day. However, it was one in a lifetime opputunity and I really enjoyed it.
Weekend dinner with my family at Blindekuh in Basel. It was a great and unforgettable expereince. It's a special restaurant where all the waiters and waitresses are blind. N we get to expereince how is it like to be blind. We were led into the pitch black dining hall by our blind german waiter -Norbert. We were led to our places and we sat there for the whole meal. (Duh, where could we go? WE counldnt see anything! ) Norbert served us our drinks, soups withour spilling a drip. We had a search our way through our utensils and glasses carefully and avoiding spilling drinks. It took quite a while between our appetizers and main course. Cant blame Norbert coz he has to serve 23 guests and he's blind. WHen our main meals were served, it was just hilarious trying to eat noodles and cutting the fish, not knowing how big the piece will turn out. WE are forced to use our senses to really taste our food coz there are no sight senese to distract our tastebuds. Dinner turned out longer than I thought. 3 solid hours as blind people.
THe food was great and the company was great too. It was kinda like a goodbye dinner for me. Mami had to book it really early coz this restaurant is just to popular. People wait months to get a place. Consider myself a lucky gal. REally lucky after the accident I had last Tuesday. Lets just say I was hit by a car. I'm living though. No serious injuries. Thank god.
My whole week is fully booked. EVery day.Weekdays too till the day I leave. Meeting up with friends, family in Zürich, etc. I cant imagine how will it be in the airport. People, just to let u know, I handle farewells really bad, so be prepared.
